eBay Auction Management
For those of you who live in South East Minnesota but do not own a computer. Or if you live in the area and do not have the time to manage your own eBay Auctions on the computer. NutMegabyte will manage your auctions for you if you live in South East (Rochester, Minnesota) and surrounding area of Minnesota.You, the seller, will be required to pay all eBay fees including insertion fees and final value fees. In addition to the eBay fees NutMegabyte will charge an additional fee depending upon the selling price. There are other optional fees that NutMegabyte might charge like a driving charge or a photo charge. The fee schedules are below.
NutMegabyte will only sell items that are in excellent condition - no garage sale leftovers (for this reason there is a $5.00 charge on items not sold within 21 days). We also do not sell illegal item, risque items or other items that are not allowed to be sold on eBay. It is the policy of NutMegabyte NOT to sell vehicles of any kind or real estate of any kind.
eBay Auction Fees
When you list your item for sale at eBay, you pay a non-refundable Insertion/Listing Fee. Insertion Fees vary by the type of auction you choose:
Opening Value or Reserve Price Insertion/Listing Fee $0.01 - $9.99 $0.30 $10.00 - $24.99 $0.55 $25.00 - $49.99 $1.10 $50.00 - 199.99 $2.20 $200.00 and up $3.30
Set a reserve price if you absolutely, positively won’t sell below a certain price. Bidders know there’s a reserve price, but they do not know what it is. In order to win the auction, a bidder must meet or exceed the reserve price and have the highest bid. If no bidders meet the reserve price, neither the seller nor the high bidder are under any further obligation. You can’t use reserve prices for Dutch Auctions, and items with reserve prices are not displayed in the Hot Items section. When you list a Reserve Price Auction, you will also be charged a Reserve Price Auction Fee, which is based upon the reserve price.

This fast-paced, free-for-all format is perfect if you have multiple, identical items to sell. Sellers start by listing a minimum price, or starting bid, and the number of items for sale. Bidders specify both a bid price and the quantity they want to buy. All winning bidders pay the same price, which is the lowest successful bid. That might be less than what you bid! If there are more buyers than items, the earliest successful bids get the goods. Higher bidders get the quantities they’ve asked for. Bidders can refuse partial quantities. The Insertion Fee is based upon the opening value or minimum bid of the item you list for sale multiplied by the quantity of items you offer. The maximum insertion fee for any Dutch auction is $2.00.

You can choose which icon you want next to your listing. However, when your item appears in Search results, it will use the icon of the most current holiday. eBay will try to change this in the next few months so that Search results will display the icon that you chose.Anniversary

At the end of an auction, you will be charged a Final Value Fee by eBay based on the final sale price (final value) of your item:
Here’s how you calculate your Final Value Fee (if you sold a vehicles see below):
Closing Value Final Value Fee $0 - $25.00 5.25% of the closing value $25.00 - $1000.00 5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31), plus 2.75% of the remaining closing value balance. Over $1000.00 5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31),
plus 2.75% of the initial $25-$1000 ($26.81),
plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance.
Re-Listing Fee
You can re-list your item one time, if one of the following conditions apply:The fee for re-listing is the same as the insertion/listing fees above.
- You didn't receive any bids on your listed item during your first regular auction.
- You didn't get any bids that met or exceeded your reserve price (for a Reserve Price Auction).
- You are re-listing the same item within 7 days of the closing date of the first auction.
NOTE: For each time we place your item up for auction and it DOES NOT sell, you will be charged a non-selling fee of $5.00 along with the listing fees. This extra $5.00 fee covers expenses, fees and time taken to list and re-list your item. Please make sure you bring desirable quality items in for auction.
Auction Fees
NutMegabyte's Final Value Fee
NutMegabyte's charges the following fee based on the final value that your item sells for. At the end of an auction, you will be charged a percentage based on the final sale price (final value) of your item:

Final Sale Price Percentage Charged $0 - $100.00 15% $100.01 - $500.00 13% $500.01 and over 10%
Photo Charge
If you want a photo(s) attached to your auction the fee will be $.50 per photo. Pictures will be taken with a digital camera and formated for best viewable size for eBay. If you supply good quality digital photos already formated to no larger than 4" x 3" or 200K in size the charge is $.25 per photo.
Driving Charge
Depending upon the size of the item(s), NutMegabyte will require the seller to bring their items to NutMegabyte office. If the item(s) are to large to bring to the office, a NutMegabyterepresentative will come to the location of the item(s). There will be a driving fee of $2.00 per visit. If outside Olmsted County, MN there will be a mileage fee of $0.35 per mile in addition to the $2.00 charge.
Minnesota Sales Tax By law NutMegabyte is required to charge 7% sales/service tax on all of their services. This would include a 7% charge on the NutMegabyte final value fee, photo fee and delivery service charge (not the mileage charge). Note: This does not include the eBay fees.
Terms
The selling party will follow through with the sale of all item(s) once the auction(s) has/have started. The selling party can not back out of or cancel any auction(s) once started by NutMegabyte.
Length of Auction
The selling party will have the option of how many days/how long an auction will run either 3, 5, 7 or 10* day auctions.Note: There is an additional fee for 10 day auctions - see the chart under "Additional Option" Fees.
Shipping The buyer/highest bidder of the item always pays the packing, shipping and insurance cost, so NutMegabyte and “you” the seller do not have to worry about shipping costs. NutMegabyte will also do the packing and shipping of your item(s) once payment has been made to NutMegabyte from the highest bidder.Condition of Items Each item up for auction is inspected by NutMegabyte. NutMegabyte has the right to refuse any item they feel will not be profitable. NutMegabyte will only accept items that are clean and in good condition. No garage sale leftovers. (Remember the $5.00 non-selling fee when bringing in an item to sell.)
If you are selling artwork or collectibles, you may need to provide a copy of a written appraisal for the piece you are selling.
Delivery of Items
Depending upon the size of the item(s), NutMegabyte will require the seller to bring their items to NutMegabyte's office. If the item(s) are to large to bring to the office, a NutMegabyte representative will come to the location of the item(s) within Olmsted County, MN. There will be a driving fee of $2.00 per visit. If outside Olmsted County, MN there will be a mileage fee of $0.35 per mile in addition to the $2.00 charge.
Please keep in mind that NutMegabyte will be doing auctions for others and that some of the items listed will belong to the others.
If your item has no bids or does not meet your reserve price, you will have two choices:
- You can try relisting your item and pay the relisting fees (see relisting fee under eBay fees)
- You may pick up your item.
If your item(s) do not sell, the seller will in turn pay NutMegabyte for the cost of the listing fee(s) plus a non-selling fee of $5.00 per auction created by NutMegabyte. This $5.00 fee covers expenses, eBay fees and time taken to list and re-list your item. Please make sure you bring desirable quality items in for auction.You may relist an item one time only. If there are no buyers after you have relisted the item you must come and pick up your item. If your item is not picked up within 30 business days of the last closing date, your item(s) will be donated to a local charity or given to the local disposal company. If NutMegabyte is charged a fee for disposal of your item(s) you will be held responsible to pay the disposal cost, therefore a bill will be mailed to you and will be due within 10 days.
Note: For easy convience to the buyers, payment can be made by using Paypal, eBay Payments or by money order. Items are shipped to the buyers within one business day after payment is received.
