Every family has stories constantly retold at family gatherings. They also have family traditions and customs that are passed down from one generation to the next. Unfortunately, some of the important details of such treasured lore is frequently lost as elder members pass away. These stories will be lost forever unless they are preserved somehow. We, at NutMegabyte, can preserve your priceless stories, traditions and customs passed down from generation to generation in a bound, written document that will save your family's heritage in one place. This treasured document can remain on your bookshelf for your future generations to enjoy.

We Can:

1. Research your Family History in a social setting and community history.
2. Write your Family History in a socially revelant narrative describing local events in the time and place in which your family members participated.
3. Publish your Family History in a bound volume for as many copies as you wish.

The information used in writting your Family History will come from the information you supply us and/or the information we research for you. The information needed to write a good Family History would include:

1. Interviews with family members
2. A direct line family tree of the family you want the History written about, with as much information as possible (names, dates & places) you can supply.
3. Stories, tales and folk lore you want included in your family history.
4. Maps of the locations, townships and cities where your ancestors lived, duringthe time period they lived there.
5. Pictures, photographs and drawings you would want included in your Family History.
6. Certificates, legal documents, letters, journals, bible records, newspaper clipings and other memorabilia.
7. It is also helpful if you can supply us with other information about your relatives included in the history such as: Were they in the military? Did they fight in any wars or against the indians? Were they religious? What religion were they? What country did they originally came from,? When did they arrive in this country? What type of struggles did they have to overcome to survive? etc.

The Family History we will write for you will include as much information as you can give us on the individuals you want included in the history. We will also incorporate a social setting for the community in which your family members lived, during the time frame in which they lived there.

Research Fees

The fee for research is $15.00 per hour plus

$0.20 per 8 1/2" X 11" Copy

$0.25 per 8 1/2" X 14" Copy

$0.50 per 11" X 17" Copy

$0.40 per Microfilm Copy

$1.00 per 35mm Photograph

$2.50 per Digital Photograph**

$5.00 per Photo for Express E-mail Service

Plus cost of postage
**Plus $1.00 for floppy disk or $2.00 for cost of cd to store pictures on.

There is a 5 hour minimum on research.

Any travel over 50 miles in one direction will require per diem reimbursement. Per diem will include mileage, daily expenses and possibly lodging and airfare, depending upon where we are required to travel to conduct your research.

Driving mileage is calculated at $0.325 per mile.

Per diem expenses are calculated per the cost of living for the city traveled to according to the "Prescribed Maximum Per Diem Rates for CONUS". This per diem cost will include lodging and daily expenses. Click the image below for the rates.

Writing Fees

The cost for writing your Family History will be at the rate of $20.00 per hour plus:

Number of Pages	Cost per Page
0 - 50	$0.25
51 - 100	$0.20
101 - 150	$0.15
151 - 200	$0.10
201 or more	$0.05

Note: It takes approximately one hour to type out one page once all the research is completed.

Publishing Fees

The fee for publishing layout is $15.00 per hour plus cost of supplies. This includes layout, typeset, scanning, edit and proofing. Supplies that are extra charge include: paper, binding materials, ink/toner for printer etc.

Note: Color copies cost more.
